Bugs in Alpha

Just the bugs, nothing else.

• Pagination Broken

• Own avatar should lead to edit page and explain how to update the gravatar

• Profile links to other people lead to your self

• None of the stats update

• No help with formatting: people get image embedding wrong

• hashtag translated into h1 (this isn't a bug, but advice should be given)

• @user is case-sensitive... are usernames case-sensitive?

• The whole of the Create/Edit Event page, and the View Event page needs styling and sanity

• After posting, you aren't taken to your post

• Editing username doesn't flush cache on old posts made by you

• Duplicate usernames

• Attendee information (reply no to one event) seems to apply to all events

• If thread has no replies then the last post column in forum view is blank, doesn't return thread starter

• numbers in events need to be whole no fractions

• commas not accepted in numbers

• url handling is a bit weird. notgoogle generates a link that looks like "http://microcosm.app/out/http%20:/%20angelinascasa.files.wordpress.%20com/2012/01/bucket_spade1.jpg" (missing a slash after http:/ and doesn't redirect yet

• You can add arbitrary javascript to comments

• Changed my name which changed it in my posts and the microcosm i started. My event is still under my original name

You can also duplicate your attendance at an event. I've just added myself a few times.

(You can add yourself once per event.)

Ah, I have my own customised error message now: 'this is all the fault of Oliver. All of it.'

Can we add labels to our own issues ourselves in the github list? I just added one but can't mark it as an "enhancement", which it is.

I will still check threads here, and copy things over there.

But... github will alert me, and track things for me, whereas LFGSS is a very poor bug management tool.

We hopefully won't miss any you report here... but we promise not to if the bugs are posted to github.

I believe that github let's us do that... as it's managing the bugs.

Excellent. I raised that one because I can't add a picture of Pengy as a background image to comment threads due to stupid markdown parsing all the links in the CSS and preventing me from taking advantage of the other useful bug.

Events are discussions in and of themselves. Reply to them.

We haven't yet built it... but the theory goes that events will be individually exportable to your calendar.

And that when we have Microcosm subscriptions, that you will be able to get a feed of all events that you are interested in.

And finally, that we should be able to give you a feed of all events you are attending.

On events, there's always a comment thread (if the creator of the event has enabled comments).

This is the case with polls too (which aren't visible yet). They're all just items that may or may not have comments enabled on them.

Calendar is definitely on the todo list... along with an easy way to search for events in a particular microcosm, and probably a map view too.
