Ron the Reamer... Me Gusta
I think you have the lingo topsy turvy though. Reaming is what you would do before putting your seatpost in.

Doesn't a reamer 'dig out' the remaining seatpost once it has ben cut off?

That's my understanding. You saw off the top of the seatpost and hand it over - he gets rid of the remnants leaving the seat tube intact.

Me and a friend sorted mine out with ease.
Wasnt budging with any other method but we took a stem and tightened really tight on the seat post and then used some riser bars stuck in the other end for some leverage.
Came out easily.

Normal bike reaming, in any of the "holes" (ooh er missus) is just to clear up the surface a little bit. Either if the surface is uneven or needs to be enlarged by a small amount (less than 1mm). It isn't for chopping out the remnant's of seized seatposts. There would be much better ways of doing such a thing.

And yet, here is clear evidence that it works, when everything else has failed.

How else would you get them out Dfp? Yoda?
The Bike Foundry's just dropped off a frame with a seized seatpost to get reamed out by a guy called Ron in Selly Oak.
He charges £5 - £15 per job depending on how long it takes to get them out.
It's R.L. Cutler, his address and phone number is:
652 Bristol Road
Email or call the Bike Foundry if you want his mobile.
I'm sure this will be useful to some of you.
