I picked up this Alan Shorter bike last year from a Doctor in Surry that had used it in London during his training. He was now just getting shot of all his bike stuff as he had no time free to cycle. It was filthy dirty and wheels were buckled from storage. I sold the wheels last year for £90 on e bay to my surprise but am now curious if this bike has a following. It appears to be still original paint and graphics, and apart from a set of wheels I got in from the states to replace the shot ones it is all original just stripped cleaned and put back together, oh and a new 6 speed cog suntour, oh and new tyres. Do you think this is a bike that may attract interest on here as it has always been slightly to big for me 60cm frame 27" wheels

Shimano 600 and Dura Ace groupset

Looks like a really nice bike. Not sure of it's value but the groupset will keep the price up.

the guy i purchased from a doctor had it passed to him by his dad for using in London, he had a couple of porches in the drive an the au pair was driving an audi 4 x 4 he seemed to have more money than sense so i suspect it has value as his dad took trouble to pass onto him when he went to study in London, he just wanted it out of his gararge to put more cars in! will post some more pics.

Shorter, or shorter rochford frames are indeed fine bits of kit. They have been building quality frames for over 50years. And have built for most of the uk finest time trialists .
