Confirm the rear takes a screw on block/freewheel?
Where in London are you?Hi, yes, it's for a freewheel, not cassette:
The set comes with a freewheel block
Will edit OP to make it clearer, thanks.
I am in Peckham

If the time trial type freewheel block on the rear wheel does not suit you, I may have something more "gentle" that I could fit instead...

I might be tempted by these, I need 126mm rear spacing.
Do you have the model or model number of the hubs?
Can you meet in Old Street or central London? -

Hi,
Rear spacing can be adjusted to whatever you need the axle is brand new and uncut. Sorry I don't have model number for the hubs.
Happy to meet in central London / Old Street.Loic

Pictures of the wheels with tyres (20c here), mounted on a bike, to give you a visual, and give myself a cheeky bump. Someone asked the front hub spacing in PM, sorry I need to ckeck that tonight, will update...

Bah...
I'm keeping this!
~~Hi,
As per title, a nice wheelset, that I had Putney cycle to build for me a few years ago and that I don't need anymore.
The hubs are professional Maillard-Perrin from the late 70s (I believe) and that I found in the box (which you can have if you want) as NOS.
They are 28 holes 700c rims / hubs, which I though at first would be too "weak" for me, but I never had any problems (I'm 92kg), the wheels are true and do feel very nice to ride. The spokes are DT swiss double butted.
There is some cosmetic damage to the rims (not so much the front one though)... At some point the brake pads had moved and a little of the black paint was removed on the rear wheel, and there is a few minor dents as you can see on the picture. But all this is cosmetic as these wheels have not seen that many miles, and you can see on the last picture that the braking surface still has lot of life.
The rear hub is for screw-on freewheel type, not for cassette. The set comes with a freewheel block, which I have just fitted and is a french almost NOS one (I was using another one which is now on another bike).
Final point, the rear axle was a little bent so I replaced it with a high quality one by "wheel manufacturing" (like this: http://www.sjscycles.co.uk/wheels-manufacturing-cromoly-rear-axle-hollow-qr-10-x-1-shimano-thread-158mm-length-prod17106/ ) The wheelset has not been ridden since this was fitted, and axle is uncut (meaning you can cut it to fit the frame spacing you want. If you need me to help with this, I can...)
