For Sale: B&W 'Style' Solid Bike Flight Case w/Frame Stand

Alps, Pyrenees, Dolomites? You'll be needing a case to protect your precious steed then....

I've a good condition bike case which is an exact replica of this B&W Travel Case complete with 4x key locks (1 key included) and metal stand to hold and protect frame. I imagine the chinese manufacturer makes them on the sly.

Case is big enough for bike, clothes, tools, pump, wheelset, helmet and shrine to Fignon, yet small enough to fit through airport scanners and in the boot. Also hard enough to bear a fair amount of weight.

I purchased the case for a trip to New Zealand but, in the end, chose not to fly with it. Since then it's been in storage, unused. I'm now back in the country and looking to find it a new owner who an do it justice. Apologies that I have only a single picture of it, ready to go last October. I hope it's useful to indicate size:

I paid £100 for it on eBay, I expect to get that back for it.

Case is currently in Guildford but will deliver to London or Bath where I am making my new home.

Just wondering what the typical airline weight limit is for a bike case. Yours looks like it could be trusted to survive transit nicely.

I think 30-35kg is the oversized items weight limit but i could be wrong, best to check but... if your bike weighs 7kg (as it should) then you should be fine with all your bits n bobs too :)

25kg, so bike plus the notional 15kg weight is ~22kg as you point out.

I suppose that would just about cover a second wheelset/some tools/a Hippy-esque quantity of food bars.

BA is 23kg....theyll take up to 32 but charge extra

I remember Digger asking me to take some tools home from our Italy trip due to the weight of his bike+hardcase.

It's undoubtedly the most reassuring way of transporting your bike though.
