  • Interesting this - one of the first BB30 road frames.

You say it's NOS - it might be worth explaining its history? After all it's around ten years old. Was it sitting in storage for all that time? The fork is interesting too - the Time forks were generally all carbon and are now quite desirable, but they did produce a few that were carbon with an alu steerer.

Could be built up in to a bit of a looker and a quite unique bike. I own a CAAD7 in the same colourway - it's Optimo :D but it's not BB30 :(

  • Hi,

It had been in storage at my LBS for the last 10yrs and I happened to stumble across it as I was having my System Six serviced. I bought the frameset complete with the original Hollowgram chainset which I'm switching to my race bike. It was purchased by myself on 2nd March 2013 and I have the receipt.

I had the CAAD7 Saeco in the candy apple red colourway, but again it wasn't BB30.

    Cheers

  • Nice find. I was wondering where the chainset went - at the time the hollowgram chainset would be the only cranks compatible with the frame. I'm not sure this one would even accept a BSA converter - the bearing seat looks machined into the shell as opposed to the circlips that are used now.

edit - or are there circlips in the bb detail photo?

You could get a 24mm crank on there using the bb30 bearings and a step down converter though.

Best of luck with the sale.

  • I think those are circlips in there- pair of circlip pliers later and you'd be able to run a converter in there.

Be a shame not to run Hollowgrams on this frame though I reckon- I have a pair of gold 53/39 rings that would look awesome on this for a proper Cippo build.

  • ...and here's what it could look like... with Hollograms on.. :)

  • ^ needs bigger, golder chainrings.

  • Bugger, yet another 56.....where are all the 54's ??

I have a driveside hollowgram with golden rings on in mint condition and the axle - everything except non-driveside crank which I'd sell if anyone's interested.

  • ^ needs bigger, golder chainrings.

Don't get it... Was that their original spec? Show me - could be persuaded.

  • and guess who's got some !

  • If anyone wants this frame in a 58cm, I would happily buy this and swap it for mine - which is similarly smick condition

  • ...and here's what it could look like... with Hollograms on.. :)

the world's shortest stem on a road bike...

  • Final price drop - £300 in UK delivery.

  • would you post to Australia?

  • I would post to Australia, although I'd need to look into the price of shipping.

Would sell for £275 delived in UK.

  • Open to reasonable offers.
