• Errol death crash cyclist named as Charles Aimer
A cyclist who died after being knocked down by a lorry in Perth and Kinross has been named by police.

Charles Aimer, 42, from Dundee, had been cycling westbound on the A90 Dundee to Perth road near Errol at about 13:30 on Sunday when he was hit.

He was taken to Ninewells Hospital but died a short time later.

Tayside Police have appealed for witnesses and would particularly like to speak to anyone who may have seen Mr Aimer travelling towards Perth.

They are especially keen to speak to any other lorry drivers who may seen him and perhaps taken evasive action to avoid a collision.

He was riding a blue bike and the articulated lorry involved was white and orange.

Mr Aimer's family said he would be greatly missed.
