Might be wrong but I thought I read somewhere you can ask them to do custom paint on these frames? or is it just solid colours?

The group will be campagnolo 11 speed with a mix of record and super record. So far i've accumulated record cranks and front mech. Super record brakes and rear mech with super record shifters on the way. For cockpit I will stay with the syntace racelite II bars on a 3T arx limited stem. I bought a lovely nice 27.2 matte black carbon seatpost from hong fu with no logotype markings. Still looking for a titanium rails saddle since all I have previously are oversized carbon rails.

Initially I wasnt planning on painting it all :) But I much rather do these things myself as much as possible.

Fair plan! The designs simple and sweet, painting yourself should be interesting too

just dont overdo the painting yourself bit

The deign looks nice!
Think the "5th" logo would look nicer situated where "R3" would be on the top tube of a Cervelo or along the top like that nice Cannondale Evo!
There would be a hoard of trolls saying you we're trying to replicate the Cerv thoug.

is that Gotham? Why not the logo itself? (and if not gotham why/what is that typeface?)
-
• #9
And why a fairy sized frame?

What's hong fu's 'official' name for the frame?

have you decide on paint or decals? I will rate this place really high for decals, if you go to them (in shoreditch) with the frame and discuss what you need to achieve they will help you, they have really good printing equipment.

Going to check it out. Thought I would try to find a place that prints colored adhesive vinyl I can cut myself. When I was a kid I worked at a car custom shop doing similar stuff and it's pretty damn tricky to get it clean.

Why dont they make the adjustment bolt titanium as well? Looks a bit funky standing out like that from the black cluster.
Tossed a sticker on for good measure. Should dig out bigger transparent ones :D

sooo nice
Second Chinese carbon build is starting to come around. I'm gonna share a few overedited snaps from the parts accumulation process.
The frame is a hong fu copy of the R3 but with some nice internal routing estimated at 850g for my 51. No I havent weighed it myself but i'd reckon it wouldnt go over 1000 since it feels a fair bit lighter than my other carbon frame just holding them both.
So the plan was initially to keep this a complete matte black stealth build but as I grew restless waiting for parts I went a bit overboard with trying out custom color treatments in photoshop. I'm spending my first season racing roadbikes with the 5th floor and after seing what some of the rapha nyc crca team did with their bikes I thought i'd try the same with our green. Here is the first sketch.
Naturally this was harder to execute in real life and being all overenthusiastic about it I botched the fork a with probably 100grams more color than it needed. So I'm gonna hold off on painting the rest for now or get vinyls cut out.
