from here?
-

If it's not someone you know/has a good rep, don't pay by gift. It's not much more to pay the extra. This is coming from someone who's been stung in the past.
If it's on here then it might be possible to look into it. Have they been active on the forum but just ignoring messages?
-
• #5
No not been active for 3 days so see if they reply soon
May simply be a case of them working away or something -
• #6
if its the above thread mentioned, Ive bought off dunk1974 personally myself....
-
• #7
I'm sure there is a perfectly good reason for the delay
Hopefully he kept the proof of postage and we both get our money back from the post office -
• #8
Also bought from dunk via postage. Received item so I'm sure it's an honest mistake.

hopefully.....
4 days now since he last logged on though.. i can last a full day with having a nosey on here..

I know this guy in person and he does travel quite a bit, he may be away.
-
• #11
Now thinking of it, I'm pretty sure he's in New York atm, as MonsterTrack just took place last weekend, and he wouldn't miss it.
-
• #12
Whew, seller not a douche. Just well travelled.
Partially resolved!

• #13
like i said early on, he may be away just hope this ends well .

done a runner - cayman islands i reckon or possibly marbella hanging out with phil mitchell and ronnie biggs ?
-
• #15
Phil Mitchell lives in England and Ronnie Biggs isn't a real person
-
• #16
seller may have fled to India and is riding around on the back of a motorbike with a large sack of money stopping occasionally only for the odd curry
-
• #17
dont take the piss lads it may only be £17, but we all fear it happening !!
We put faith in everyone's good nature on here when we buy something..
-
• #18
Ronnie Biggs is a real person. He just uses Ron Jeremy as a pseudomym for his creative endeavours.
You'd think that Ronnie Biggs would be a better porn name than Ron Jeremy though.

Not really, just don't pay by gift! Pretty sure it says that in the rules and recommendations for classifieds.
I've had 2nd class post show up after 3 months after posting so I wouldn't give up all hope just yet. -

sorry i meant grant mitchell .....dont pay by paypal gift if the seller isnt known as a trustworthy member . i often ask for "gift" payments often these are ignored and i think fair enough i must be a dodgy scotsman .
you could have asked if they can send recorded delivery for a extra £1 then you are both covered ? things do go missing in the post quite often ....

Bank transfer and recorded/special delivery ftw. Even with non-gift their decisions can be so arbitrary, you might as well not bother
Hey Paypal,
Fuck you

Well it's not working out very well here for me
Still not got a resolution to this ..
I paid for my lights on 25 feb which is a month ago now and still no lights or a reply from seller as to what the post office are doing
Are there any mods on here ?? I need help to get this situation resolved
The way I see it I had a deal with the seller to get his lights I've waited 4 weeks and think he should pay me back now ... It's not my fault they got lost in post..
That's for him to take up with the post office
I think I'm right in asking for a full refund and that's what I have just done
-

I think unfortunately mate you're pretty reliant on the seller getting his act together if you've not paid by some reversible method.. this is why classifieds work so much better when meeting in person. check the item and pay cash. sadly paypal costs money and unfairly favours the buyer, bank transfer has no safety
Hi I paid a seller for some lights on 25 Feb
He said he posted 2nd class but as it never arrived he said post office won't investigate until 21 days
That's now past and he hasn't been in touch and hasn't responded to my last 3 messages
So what are my options now ??
It's only £17 but there should be some comeback to this
Or do I take it on the chin and don't pay by PayPal gift next time
