Is it a littmann?
-

No way! A "Lyle Willis and Co", you can clearly hear the heart sounds, but it's not a quality jobbie

• #4
How many medics are on Lfgss?! It's crazy
-
• #5
Haha! We need a thread or something

Not really into the modern ones myself. I just prefer the vintage style models.
This one also has a fixed diaphragm. Much more connection with the surface of the persons chest imho. Check my current build project below
London Fixed Gear and Single Stethescopes is the bizniss!

Pm'd regarding the bottom pair of bars.

Those stethoscopes are perfectly adequate for the majority of medics I think. Murmurs that a junior can hear are so barn door you'd be able to hear them with an old man's ear trumpet anyway. All you really want to hear is "equal air entry bilaterally".

PMs replied to :)
^And I imagine you're right tbh, I don't know if there's anything more than marketing to separate the majority of steths out there, but the build quality certainly doesn't fill me with confidence with that one!

I had one for a while and it was good, better to leave it than a Master Cardio in your bag all the time that's for sure. Anyways, medical chat etc etc yawn yawn. Have a bump. GLWTS

I'm in the market for a cardiology III if anyone be selling...

^^haha cheers fella :)
^No one that I know of, sorry! -
• #17
Are you at barts?
I think littmann have done a great con on making everyone think they are the only good steth. And because there's no objective measure, no other brand can "show" they are as good/better, and so to not look cheap/stupid everyone buys a littmann. No way a classic is worth 50 squid.
Also dibs some chop and flops? If the second have gone, which look the more appropriate for me, is there enough bend left on the first to mount a pair of aero brakes yu reckon?
-
• #18
Yes I am! Yourself?
I haven't actually done much reading about stethoscopes, as you usually do when you buy something like that, as the littmann I have was a present and it's been doing the job so far!
The second is due to be sent off, although the first is still available and had aero levers mounted when I received them so yes :) would you be interested in the levers as well or do you already have some?

3). Basic stethoscope. Won't be telling your systolic from pansystolic murmurs on this one, but if you'd like to one to mess around with/fancy dress whatever, it's yours.
