Ah well if they can't be resoled that's that then, I'm heavy on my feet.
Might go with a pair of brogues from the real leather shoes thread, some beauty's in there.

Are you talking about the spd one or the normal one?
-

They're meant for riding your bike with, I thought?
-
• #6
The non spd ones, the brown storica.

From the look of it, I can't see why not.
I'm waiting for my size to be out so I can buy them too.

They look like they have a very specific sole.

They would probably have to go back to Dromarti as the "wearing" pieces aren't standard, but they are stitched in place, so there's no reason why not.
Probably made that way to avoid having to replace the whole sole.

You can always ask, but I doubt it's nothing a good cobbler can sort out.

I'm going to email them and ask

Hello fellow blue bike rider. I've had mine (the spd version ones) nearly 3 years now and they're still going strong with no hint of needing re-soling and with a bit of polish rub up like a fresh conker.
They take a while to break in and mould to your feet but then feel as snug as socks. And the waxy laces are shit and best replaced with some proper ones I found. And finally they are pretty narrow so if your plates of meat are particularly wide beware. And they look a bit out of place on a new fangled modern bike as they look so vintage, but those small points aside they're lovely and I'd highly recommend them.
Lusting after some dromarti shoes and if I can get rid of some stuff from the garage, I'll seriously think about ordering a pair.
How do they hold up? And do they look better as they get older? And can they be resoled?
Anyone for pictures of a well worn in set?
Cheers
