My cable end came off today...
Along with almost every moving part of my bike being fucked. :-/
Capped bar ends (no drops/bullhorns)
Axles not sticking out.
At least one working brake.
No outside chain rings without a chain or bashgaurd...Not really a safety issue, but no additions to the frame (mudguards/racks/water bottle holders)
Anything else?

Goalhole did a rundown of safety stuff the other week.
Bikes: http://www.goalhole.com/2013/02/06/ahbpc-2013-sort-your-bike-issues-out-now/
Mallets: http://www.goalhole.com/2013/02/19/ahbpc-2013-sort-your-mallet-issues-out-now/#commentsNo mention of crimping off but maybe they weren't in a rush.

Quick Release levers alright?

they aren't illegal, but i have had one come undone whilst playing. So they are a bit dodge.

Yeah they're more of a danger to yourself than anyone else. I had mine undone in a tusstle the other week, without knowing it, sprinted after the ball and my front wheel came out of the bike and I went over the handle bars. Could have been a lot worse. Going to ziptie it closed from now on I think

I can't believe will made a comment about getting foreign objects stuck inside and no one made a joke?

A friend of mine had that happen (not polo related) and broke his arm in three places. I sometimes see him checking front wheels are tight when no-one is watching.

Is this a good time to be running a quick release front? My halo hexkey jobby snapped earlier.

Always used Shimano QRs. Never had one come undone.

Same here, no problems with QR so far.
Thanks for all the replies. The goalhole links were quite useful!
Does anyone have a list of safety requirements a polo bike has to meet to be labeled "safe" for a tournament?
Will look at london / NAH ruleset if not.
Thx!
