Ive been trying to take a photo which does the paint justice, the closest ive come so far:
Its an almost peachy pink colour, with a very fine sparkle to it
When i first read the frame had been resprayed, i was of mixed emotion how to feel about this, as i fully agree an NJS Keirin Frame's chips, minor dings, etc add a bit of soul.
When i finally unwrapped this, all my doubt was lifted, as the colour is so unique, and despite having a few floors in the detailing and repaint, these in themselves gave it that completely individual and unique soul, despite the fact that this paint is perfect, with only one chip, which il come to in the next post.....

I just wanted to ask about the respray due to trackends and the stickers - but looks like a well good job.

So the first thing i wanted to do was completely strip all parts and give it a clean, get to its core, check out the bb shell, headset etc as i wanted this to be bare and built from the frame up.
First thing i tackled, which i thought would be easy peasy - seatpost pin....
Id bought a Sugino seatpost pin off the bay for something stupid like £30 so obviously this was going to have to go on the frame!
I thought that it would be as simple as just unscrewing the campagnolo one that was in there and then when the time came to it, rescrewing in the Sugino one...
nah.
The campag one wouldn't budge!
because the respray was slightly thicker than the original paint, all the holes are a little tighter..... (pun at will!)
so a lot of very gentle tapping with an allen key and a rubber mallet later and:
im guessing this is perhaps how the chip happened on the opposite side, as it must have taken a fair bit of nudge to get the clamp bolt in the hole
Part 1 done for now anyway: note to self, Sugino Clamp Bolt will need a nudge to fit, protect frame before getting hammer out & use right tools!

Suprisingly good job mate, excellent on the track ends, slightly thick around the seatstays, 'NAGASAWA' not separate colour filled on the rear drops, but apart from that, absolutely stunning colour, pretty much perfect finish and ive done a lot of comparison to similar era Nag's re: decals and they're spot on!

Well jealous, I had some proper internal battles at night trying not to buy this. You'd better build it nice or I'm going to find where you live...
Think you are onto a good start with a £30 seatpost pin though, looking forward to the rest.

Yeah ive thought about getting the dremmel out and polishing those dropouts, but ultimately, i love the differences this has as a respray, the silly errors and slightly unoriginal finishes are almost cool, although im a massive perfectionist so we'll see how my perfectionism bears true as time goes by!

Yeah i just went and did it blinded by love at first sight, by the time id added up the cost of the Makino i was looking at + P&P + Import + VAT it was well more expensive than this!
Hopefully my idea of nice and tasteful will be appreciated by others!
Re: Seatpost pin, im not sure whether i was on to a winner buying a "Vintage Sugino NJS Seatpost Bolt Fixie Singlespeed Track" from eBay Poland, or just a tw*t who bought a polished turd.... ha we'll see what it looks like!
