Cheers peeps - Ben you've got a PM as forgot to ask about clamp diameter!
RD-2300 rear isn't going to be meaty enough long distances I fear so I'll hold out on that one for now

Are you using index or friction shifters?
28.6mm triple front road mechs (that work with 9 speed index shifters) aren't that plentiful but the 105 10 speed/5603 would work, you can get older mechs such as the Shimano 500LX which will work with STI's and are capable of having bigger spreads (my own tourer is fitted with one with a 50/36/26)
As for the rear you won't get a road mech that will handle handle a 32t sprocket IMO, the later 10 speed mechs do but the pull ratio for them isn't the same as 9 speed and the earlier 10 speed, in which case you may have to compromise on what gears you want or try a Deore RD which might not shift perfectly with STI's
I use a 105 5600 10 speed which has a stated 37T capacity but will go only to about a 30T max. My gearing is 50/36/26 & 12-27 which is not far different as yours but you've one lower gear (23.4" to my 25.8") and one higher, 117" for the 48-11 (mahoosive...lol) compared to my 111" for the 50-12.If you don't plan to run big/big or small small you might just squeeze the 32 on a road rear derailleur but think you'd need to go with an MTB mech (NOT 10 speed though !)..check out this page in any case http://sheldonbrown.com/deakins/lowgears.html

Thanks Mr Bump! I'm running friction shifters as cannot be fussed with getting specific matching shifters to go with the gear set. Plus I quite like the manual feel/adjustment that you get with them. I've found a Deore XT MTB rear mech which should handle the range and Ben's front triple Deore looks good too. Fingers crossed it all just works exactly like it should as I'm off next Friday!
Only thing left is that bottom bracket...Anyone with a 122mm or wider ISO bottom bracket (68mm English) that they don't need then please let me know...

For my birthday I would like the following:
Contrary to normal birthday etiquette, I am willing to purchase these items as really it's really for the birthday of my 'ever nearing completion' Trevor Jarvis
I'm not looking for tat but I'm not looking to break the bank either. Always open to temptation though if you've got something nice (characteristic) to offer...that is after all how I ended up with the frame!
Yours
Zack (and Trev)
