Narrower as in narrower rail spacing?

narrower as in takes up less rail length (saddle's front to back), not rail spacing.
{considering from a drive side view}
issue is that i need a saddle bag mount, which takes up a lot of rail {left}. so when i run a saddle like the knife only the front {right} part of the rail is left for the post clamp - which sets the saddle back {left}.
as far as i can see the solutions:
- saddle with longer {wider} rails
- post with shorter {narrower} clamp
- post set forward?!?!
supertype is a no go as i need 25cm+ above insertion

apart from aesthetics...
why wouldn't a setback facing the wrong way work? -

Gold, red and blue are my favourites.

Any good seatposts with layback and a Thomson type 2 bolt clamp other than the PMP? I need layback but don't like the Thomson lay back and want fine adjustment of the saddle level. Microadjust isn't enough in my experience. To could be good if I can afford it, preferably not carbon.

why play with seatpost n comfort ? just get your saddle bag mounted in a diffrent way ?

Not sure, the rest of the bike is silver hardware, so a carbon post might look a bit odd. It does look to be good value though
27.2 inline but with a narrower clamp than the Thomson
