Just to clear up a recurrent question , the Vittoria Crono CS tubulars are fitted and included in the price.
If you want other tyres I can have them glued on by experts at no cost .
Phew, hope that's clearer !

Hi. Are these wheels still for sale. Max has just gone in to U16 category so in time will probably move on from his Navigators.
My son is entered for the Sprintfest in Manchester on 2-3 March, though still awaiting to hear if he is selected. Would you or members of your club be there too.

@allister - curious to know what happened to the KSpeed brand http://www.KSpeed-cycling.com ?
But more importantly, who did the paint / graphics on the carbon frame ?
Done OEM in Taiwan ? or a UK respray company ?

Gosh , funny how your old threads come back to haunt you !!
The paint on the K-Speed was the original paint the frame came with, don't know what became of the brand. They were quite overpriced from what I saw in the sales / marketing info .
One of our development girls used it for a while and liked it . It had a long top tube for the frame size and worked well to get sprinters in to a good aero position. It was sold on a few years ago to a lady who used it as a fixed wheel TT bike
I must admit , I liked the paint job and in a velodrome of matt black Dolans it looked great !

@allister Thanks for the info. Consider this old thread a 'Blast from the past' ;-)
Found the origin of this frame maker a while back - Made in Taiwan by http://karbona.com/pro-b-4-1.html#
Mulled over ordering the other frame 'Track Lite' but was put off in the end by the geometry and top & seat tube unconventional lengths for both framesets..
Settled for a ProLite Menaggio in the end...came in raw finish which looks like a steatlthy cool jet black with subtle carbon in yer face look, and mulling over a future respray job once I get bored of "black is black" - think have found a company in Belgium > http://www.m-level.be/
I really fancy the white pearl & graphics of the K Speed though ...

They make your track bike look nice !

For comparison you can get the similar wheels with formula hubs 20/24 spokes and FF decals for GBP870 from wiggle .
This was the reasoning behind the 'Wheel Deal"....
Modern Spokey Race wheels for hard track or board velodromes.
Aim:
To build a set of carbon tubular track wheels with either 28 or 32 spokes at a reasonable cost.
These wheels give all the advantage of an aerodynamic deep section rim (60mm) hand built with a top quality ball bearing hub with the low rolling resistance of tubular tyres.
The slightly increased spoke count gives a stiffer yet compliant wheel with a slightly lower spoke tension that is more damage resistant than a 16 or 20 spoke factory built wheel.
They are also safer in the event of collision or impact damage during a race than a clincher / HP wheel.
Recommended tubulars are,
Conti Podium TT for asphalt hard tracks, Vittoria Crono CS or Conti 165 / 175 Sonderclasse for smooth cement or outdoor wooden tracks and Vittoria Pista CS or Crono CS for indoor velodromes.
