spoons is challenging you for most travelled london player, john, you gonna take that?
-
• #9
Best position would be last pick on a good team. Fingers crossed.

you are hardly the fat goalkeeper spoony :)

This looks like it'll be fun. Cody's, Kremin's and Crandall's teams look good. They're probably all good, lots of names I don't recognise. I'm surprised at how late some players got picked.

you didnt get picked john? I saw your name on the list. Or did you cancel?

No I didn't. But considering only 48 out of 117 did I didn't really expect to anyway.

easy fellas, it was just a question, i have no idea how it worked i just know that you and snoops put your names down.
-
• #17
No worries, it was only a last minute spur of the moment thing in my case.

Pistolero shouldn't have picked Joker first.
Joker is his team mate, a really good player and lovely guy, but he is not a first round pick. -

Joker is his team mate, a really good player and lovely guy, but he is not a first round pick.Yeah, that for me was a big surprise. But then again, maybe being a player he knows so well is worth more than being the best player possible.
He picked another LA player as his 8th pick, with a San Fran and Phoenix player too, so I guess he's gone for SW lineups who will be familiar with each other.
For me the biggest surpise was Hamersly in 27th.

Your team looks strong Emmet. Crandall, Dillman, Aryln, you, I don't know the rest.
-
• #21
That is definitely a factor, but he honestly would have been safe to pick him up in the 2nd or 3rd round.
The other LA player is their regular third, a perma-goalie.I agree that Hamersly was picked later than he merits, as was Henry Norris. But generally the Captains made very solid picks.

Ok, makes sense about their third. Yeah, I probably agree, he could have risked waiting for the 2nd round for Joker, but then again he did get Joey in 10th, so it probably worked out.

Pretty happy with my team!
Rupert's team is looking sharp also. But Kremin does seem to have just picked a load of lanky dudes.
-
• #24
yeah, the team with the lowest BMI in polo.

Hamersly in 27th seems crazy. Don't know enough of the others to comment. Lanky polo FTW.
I hear a couple of London players are planning on going.
This is THE Bench Minor tournament (anything else is just bench format).
Probably one of the highest standard polo tournaments in the world, you've got great players not even being selected, let alone sitting on the bench.
