No price? Not even sure if you're selling?
...
Get out!
-
• #3
Really?? So gauging to see if anyone's interested isn't aloud then?
-
• #4
I'd say it's quite impossible to gauge interest when there is no price, size, pictures, or even certainty that when all these criteria are met that you'd actually part with it..
But what do I know! Good luck with the possible sale of this priceless (I no rite!) bike and good luck with not selling it if that is what you choose to do.

Thanks very much for informing me all the obvious but when asking people for advice and interest ill then gauge weather it's worth taking the photos and writing a full post. If someone is interested or got advice on price then all they have to do is say so. In all honesty I don't really wish to sell eddy but when you've got a pending wedding that needs paying for alittle extra cash/brownie points wouldn't go amiss.

The rules are very clear:
No fishing expeditions. You are either selling something or you're not.
No one gives a fuck about your wedding. Cheers.

Sorry, that was actually quite rude. I'm sure you'll have a very special day.

Ok ok. I'd like to clear a couple of things up.
This is the first time I've posted on here since the re-vamp of lfgss so am slighty unsure where to advertise for advice.
I've not advertised 'for sale' but 'offered', I was hoping this would cover the base of gauging interest.
Before the re-vamp I posted such threads to see if it was worth selling un-needed parts and didn't receive any of the advice I've received here, I've been pointed in the right direction and gathered the relievent information with no problems.
With regard to my wedding thanks for ur concern but as your probably aware I don't really care what u think, I was merely stating that the sale was forced and giving a reason why.
Well I think that covers all points that u helpful two guys have bought to my attention. Enjoy the new year and a pleasant 2013.
Thanks
James.

Take a picture and put it in the 'what's my xyz worth?' Thread......
You'll know then.
P.S. get as many blow jobs as you can in now.......

Good Paint + Good parts = 600- 700 ish
Good paint + ok parts = 500 ish
Crap paint + crap parts = 400 ish
IMHO

Do you know the frame size? Do you have any pics of the bike or its parts?
-
• #13
Guys and gals. Thanks very much for the advice. I now have a relivent place to place posts like this and also a starting block on price. I have had a few people inbox me with interest so I'm gonna to fire more details and pictures there way and if nothing comes of it ill add everything here. I might even add one photo here so u can see how lovely she is.
Thanks
James.

Just the frame size would save a lot of wasted posts

come on son, lets see some pics! There will be alot of interest in a Merckx in seven eleven colours. It will sell, if its top quality & the price is not over the top..

Unlike you, destined to live a lone existence surrounded by a mountain of spunky tissues....
Were you bullied at school for your tiny penis, ostracised at college for the smell of pish and being a ginger or ignored at work because you ate more fries than you served up with the burgers? If his poorly written, AUP infringing thread bothers you that much then report it to a mod or ignore it. If that fails to stimulate you then head for a rough area of town and find some big boys to have a proper ruck with. Getting your cock punched is often a positive reminder that stepping out from behind the keyboard of your mum's iPad exposes you to real life and the consequences of being such a rude cunt.

BTW Lovely bike

Really long, rambling tirade about iPads and penises
Dry your eyes mate.
Merckx is awesome.

So is this bike for sale or not? I still do not understand how it can be so hard to put a price you'd be willing to sell it for? I'm quite sure these are supposed to be for sale threads instead of "how much can I get for this"
-
• #23
dont get married and keep the bike ? this will equate to a much happier future

enough wasting time, two simple questions...how much do you want for it, and what size is it? I am interested but I don't want to faf around in some secret auction through pms. put this info up and if you want too much then it won't sell, but you still have the bike, if you put up a sensible price then it'll sell, either way you don't lose.

sounds to me he doesn"t know his onions, if he puts the price to low & someone gets a good deal etc. But don"t come on here because people can see throught the bullshit. You dont tell Marco Pierre White how to cook an omelette do you! You gotta have game on LFGSS.
Am hoovering on the edge with regard to selling my recent vintage build
I'm not going to go massively into depth now as I just want to gauge interest really at the mo.
It's a 1989 eddy merckx seven eleven slx frame fitted with a 1996 campagnolo chorus groupset and shamal wheelset.
All is in lovely condition with a few marks/chips on the frame. Really nice condition bike and was a pleasure to build.
Not really sure if I decide to sell how much to ask. Any help/interest would be great.
Thanks
James
