Nice frame indeed, i would probably leave the paint myself. And classic parts only would look better, tb14s and dura ace hubs, something along those lines would be nice.

id just leave it to be honest, it will get chipped when you lock it up etc. has the frame been crashed? forks look bent.

This will be my sunday best, will never get locked up. Colour seems to be candy, so I'll paint it the same.

^That is what I said about the Panasonic, then I ended up locking it outside, between an ESB and a Gangsta. In the rain!
And I agree with Joe, they do look ever so slightly bent...
Sweet frame yo.

NJS ownership rule #1....

Forgive the ugleh seatpost and saddle, I reckon carbon and NJS can go nicely...

True dat! And I think we've both proven the latter ;-)

And I also said the same about my Panasonic. Four years later and it gets described as a Rat-bike! Still love it to bits, though now I have a decent beater with mudguards, it doesn't see much wet weather anymore.

^yeah, you can warrant a paint job, it's been your daily ride for four years and is pretty scratched up. But That Bridge's paint looks to be near perfect....
-

Yeah, so was my sonic when I got it. It's the metallic paint you see, it doesn't cope well with the flex of the frame so flakes off over time.
-
• #12
Yeah don't paint it. Red ones go faster.
-
• #13
I don't really use my bike to commute, so locking it up etc will probably never happen to it.
I do custom paint for a living, so getting it looking the same will be no problemo

That looks hot, pretty sure mine will end up something like that. This is the ultimate pr0n tho:

Nah that is lush... I've hopefully got a non-NJS (but maybe even better) surprise planned for the new year, we shall see.

On the paint discussion, I think for an ex Keirin bike, the paint is kind of the frame's soul... To repaint (especially one as nice as this Anchor) would take that away.
Just my opinion though.

Between this, the technicolour lopro and the Triple Titanium Triangles...** It's a good/bad thing I'm skint at the moment....**
What was that?? ^ ;-)

Can't wait for this thing to arrive now. It's going to be a slow build, hoping to have it done around March time.
I used to kitesurf and found all my equipment in the loft, I was literally doing the walk around the house and see what I can sell, when I stubbled across it. It will probably bring in £500, so frame and wheels (if I squeeze) sorted.
TM I know what you're saying and I get 'that' look, but Ideally I'd like it perfect.

Back to track though, I agree. That paint looks sexy. Leave it be bud.

Hoping to sort that with January sales....

Still debating. I may carefully sand and blow the paint in rather than a full re-paint. I probably need to receive the frame and see what it's like in the flesh.

looks like a nice frame, and would definitely be more fun when ridden
if its chromed underneath, just like the head tube, you are lucky too.have a look at that bulge at the downtube/headtube junction though, I may be exaggerating, but it does look like something that should be investigated
re:repaint, keep in mind it may be difficult to source the seattube decal, unless you are not too fussed about it - imo only the forks could use a sandblast, and these are easy to re-create too.
but first of all, why you dont like anchor graphics? :) -

Take your pick! :-)
As some of you may have seen, this little number has been on t'bay. After swapping a few emails with the seller, we agreed a price which we where both happy with.
I haven't yet received it, but as you can see the paintwork is very shoddy condition.
The plans: (will probably end up changing my mind somewhere along the line...)
.rub frame down, re-paint with Bridgestone graphics as I'm not too keen on the Anchor ones.
as of yet I'm still debating what parts to add to this, I know Suntour Superbe is the correct period, but I'm just not feeling it, possibly Dura-Ace or Sugino, who knows. I do have a load of Campag bits which I've been saving for a British 653 track, but this was just too good to miss.
May be a little bit HHSB, but I really do like the look of 50mm rims and raw carbon saddles, so who knows where this could lead..
