That sounds like the opening two bars of a freestyle... don't stop there!
But fitting pedals without wrench flats is a pain.

Most shimano road pedals or any speedplay pedals still permit the use of a wrench.
But something to be aware of !

Pedals only need to be done up finger tight, no need for a wrench: precession init.
Of course, getting them off would be another matter...
