I want to stay a bit longer to catch up with friends and have a little birthday treat! Just wondering whether going a few days earlier or staying a few days after is best? Would be nice to travel with you guys though...

I would say going a few days earlier is nicer, Jess. After LA i was just wiped out and wanted to get home.

It's more than possible I may be driving there, so can probably take bikes, and at least one person can fit in the van (with some money towards fuel cost, maybe £10 per bike)

I just need to look at the costs, and whether it will be worth it.

I'd probably be going Thursday, driving back on Monday.

Ok, so I've sent my email. I'm most like going to try and get the train there (with Mrak). We were thinking of staying a few days after, but Bells makes a good point about being knackered afterwards. I want to make this a bit of a holiday, so will probs look at getting there a bit early or maybe tacking on some other German locations/touring. We'll see, this is way too far in advance for me to be planning things.

Yo Ladies, just booked our flights with BA.
Going out on Friday 5th at 10.55am coming back on Tuesday 9th at 12.20pm.
Gonna use the Monday for sight seeing innit!!
We have about 4 other non polo friends coming with us that are running in the Berlin half marathon. Thinking about getting an apartment somewhere, they seem fairly cheap.

We did that the last time we were in Berlin and found the cheapest flat EVER. it wasn't badly located (since we were on bikes) and we managed to house 10 (!!) though we were 1 or 2 over capacity. I'm gonna start looking into possible holiday lets and see what it's looking like, but I don't think anybody else will be staying as long as we are.

Ok, Julia is flying, so if anyone else wants to be a co-driver, that would be very much appreciated.

How much space is there John? Only one? Me and Josh were up for going.

Well, most of the vans have one of those double seats for the passenger, so could work.

You need to be 21 to drive a hire van, so you couldn't drive, but I guess Josh could.
