East London seems to have been the birthplace of fixed gear and singlespeed bikes and I can't help thinking that Brick Lane Bikes had something to do with that...

    WTF etc?

  • it was only a matter of time.

  • as cringe as this is... having some cheap tees with back pockets/cycling fit could be nice..

  • So is this going to be sold at H&M for H&M prices or at BLB for BLB prices? If its the former then this could actually be pretty cool if its the latter then I think Id rather spend my cash on Outlier etc

  • ^^ +1. Who cares about the video. There'll be at least one good item out of this.

^ Pretty sure it'll be a heavily mass produced H&M product with H&M X BLB branding sold in H&M. It won't be the cheapest H&M stuff but will still be cheap compared with the more cottage brands.

  • some discussion of this over in the Epic Fail thread earlier...Text of the Telegraph story is over there.

  • brick lane bikes has a creative director?

is he the one riding chrome drops without bartape or gloves?

  • As long as its relatively affordable then I can only see this as a positive really. Granted it would be nice if they'd chose to associate themselves with someone other than BLB but beggars cant be chosers.

    or bar plugs

  • Fuk da haters man this is a sick collabo! hope their are good colourways to match my fixie

  • Fixies are for dicks

  • I'm with clockwork on this. If good clothing comes out of it, for a decent price, that could even be somewhat sustainable, it's all good.

The whole fixie-brand-collabo thing feels a bit late though

    hahaha well done.

    ^ Well said that man!

he's on here, can't remember his username though. I bought my sister's bike off him. Seemed really nice and genuine.

But that's exactly when you want to start rinsing every last little bit out. Maximum crossover appeal.

  • if its cheap im happy.

but that comment about brick lane being the birthplace is a joke

  • I hope it'll come over to the Netherlands, and not only the UK.

  • What's so surprising with them having a creative director? They have their own line of products, someone has to decide what they look like

  • Everybody knows that Scoble gave birth to fixies in a Sicilian monastry aided only by the few monks and his own grit and determination in the year of our Lord, 2003.

    dibs

This is not what a creative director do though. But instigating a collaboration however, is.
