45 views and no comments?
Come on guys, she's really panicked by the loss of her dog.
This isn't some kind of sick joke.
Please keep your eyes open.
Thanks

Sorry to hear about this and we'll keep em peeled I promise. I for one didn't want to comment for fear of raising your hopes when you saw a response.

A friend of mine lost his dog in Shoreditch last year. He put up posters the next day, and was contacted by a homeless chap, who had found the dog in a skip. So get some posters up.

Thanks - still no news!
Knowing the dog she's probably sat in someones house in front of a fire with a big bone - she's such a softy when she's not "on duty". Either that or one of the street drinkers is keeping themselves warm with a nice soft labrador!
Collar & microchipped.
Friend lives in Isabella Road, just off Homerton High Street, however they often walk through down Mare Street to central Hackney.
Does this link work? https://www.facebook.com/desi.veeran?ref=ts&fref=ts
Posters are being sorted as I type.
Thanks again.

The link works but if her profile is private then it's not going to allow us to see a link of hers.
This is so sad - I don't live in the area unfortunately but I hope she's found soon.

Yes, Facebook not working. You could try posting something on http://www.yeahhackney.com
Try sticking some posters on the marshes for the dog-walking lot to see. And there's a beggar outside the Hackney Empire who has dogs (not stolen, or anything), who might have seen something.

Posters are going up now.
Here's a photo of Zally:
I'll send her the link to yeahhackney - thanks again!

I'm pretty sure too, if you can write a post that is good for retweeting (around 100 characters, including a link to the photo/contact details) those of us on twitter would make sure it was retweeted.

I've retweeted - Battersea Dogs Home have a lost dogs line as do Hackney Council it's also worth contacting local vets just in case someone brings her in. Hope Zally's home soon!

Thanks for the support!
I haven't heard anything from my friend today - I've sent her a couple of text messages and a f/b message - I also emailed her husband with no reply.
As soon as I get any news I will post here - thank you for your support, I hope this turns out well.
Zally has been a guide dog and family member for about 7 or 8 years, she really is the softest dog you can imagine, typical labrador, big and soppy when not working, alert, intelligent and focused when she's in her harness working.
Fingers crossed!

Still no news on the missing dog.
Got a text from my friend this morning - she's really worried and at a loss about what to do next.
She's kind of stuck in the house without her guide dog which is really frustrating for her.
Please keep your eyes open.
Thanks

Aw that's great! Any back story?
-
• #23
wow, great news, that must have been unbelievably stressful

It is good news!!
Back story? Not sure really as Desi (my friend) has only just picked the dog up. I'm sure I'll get an update later.
I'm so happy for Desi - she really was lost with out the dog - stuck in the house with out her "eyes", Zally is also a family pet and I can't imagine how upset I'd be if my dog did a disappearing act.
Thanks for your help and support - it really is much appreciated.
Cheers!

Very glad to hear it. As is Guide Dogs UK via Twitter.
Really glad to hear guide dog Zally has been found - We're sure she will be happy to get back home where she belongs.
Hello!
A friend of mine has just posted on f/b that her guide dog went missing in Hackney on Friday - she's becoming very concerned.
Dog is a yellow lab called Zally, very friendly dog about 7 or 8 years old - slight greying to her chin.
Waiting for further info on whether she was wearing a collar or harness but if you do see her please let me know ASAP.
Obviously my friend in a little lost without her guide dog!!

Thanks in advance
