This is a ride I'd love to join. Might just do my own one where I am. Suffolk lanes will be quieter than ever that day.

Greetings folks,
This is one of the best rides the forum puts on.
If you are free come on down. It is worth it just to see Oxford Circus and Camden completely empty.
Even if you celebrate Christmas, it is a great way to build up an appetite for lunch...
Peace and Love,

Got to be more fun than hanging around with my family.
Conker, havn't you got a family?

It doesn't have to be an either/or thing with family. Some will make a full day of it some will head off early. I'll be turning up, riding a bit and watching a few punctures being repaired before sodding off round the olds for drinking and fighting.

Hopefully be doing half of this again before riding to Bourne End and arriving just in time for lunch to devour everything before me.

This sounds fun. How long is the ride roughly?
-
• #24
I haven't thought about the route yet really.. But it's as long or short as you like.. It will be very central London to take advantage of cruising around streets which are usually clogged with traffic every other day so just meet up and peel off any time you like really..
That all said.. No more than 2 hours.. Also.. If it's raining, snowing etc.. I won't be there..

.
I've said it before;
Christmas is a tinsel covered. cabin fever inducing waste of a day. Marooned miles from your real home as you rub shoulders with people to whom you're genetically similar.
If you're opting for a more civilised Festive season, safe in the confines of Zones 1-6, why not join people whom you share a common interest rather than a common name?
The ride as always will be a loosely defined route taking in some old favourites like Regent's Park inner circle as well as spending a couple of hours riding the roads that are usually gridlocked.
Meet at Oxford circus at 8:30 for a 09:00 leave.

It may seem odd for me to start a list with some one else's name so let me take the time to come clean.
Thank you for the memories of Christmases well mis-spent but it's time for me to move on to try some new things on the most redundant of holidays.
This year Brave is taking over the reigns and will (hopefully) do so for future years. If anything this should give you even more incentive to join in as Brave is a far nicer, more socially apt individual than I.
