Use sparingly and apply correct torque.
Carbon grease will mark your seatpost so beware.

Is that just red rubber grease?

Tacx do Carbon assembly paste too. GIYF.

get the Tacx carbon assebly paste, much better value then spending a couple of pound on a sachet. it can be used with metal on metal too, allows lower torques due to increased friction between the 2 surfaces.

SRM recommend that you use carbon assembly paste when putting chain rings onto their spider, presumably to make sure everything is as secure as possible.

I use carbon assembly paste. Works well, no slipping. Slightly gritty texture is a bit odd, but doesn't seem to mark anything as long as you've got everything done up correctly.
Sorry if this came up before, I did search. Also sorry for such a simple question.
I just received a present, a carbon seat post for my aluminium framed road bike. Do I need to grease it before using it and, if so, with what kind of grease?
