• Hey there,

A saddle injury is keeping me off my tourer for the moment, so I want a super-upright beater dutch bike kind of think. A Raleigh Cameo or Caprice would be great, or a Pashley, or even a postie (newer era). Let me know what you go. Can collect; looking to spend £20-30. Any condition.

This is a great chance to get your old flatmate's shit bike out of your garden!

  • Not sure if this is what you are looking for but my friend is selling her Raleigh ladies Town & Comfort Series 10.
Just had the bottom crank shaft replaced, hence photo in bike shop.

Also she's after £70 so maybe, maybe not...

PM me for further details if interested.

  • I have a rolling-ish frame and rusty wheels you could have for for £25, included mudguards and chain guard. Can PM you photos if you want.

  • I've got a couple of Raleigh Caprice bikes, both in roughish condition - buckled wheels, fair amount of rust etc. Should clean up OK with a lot of work. Looking for £25 each but they are not in London.

  • £25 is a good price for a Caprice even if the wheels are knackered - swapping the wheels for alu-rimmed singlespeed is the most cost-effective upgrade you can do on these bikes.

  • Obviously OP has priority, but a minor hijack as I am also after a similar type thing for a girlfriend bike christmas present project - aiming at a respray so condition is unimportant but if it was made of reasonable to good tubing that would be a bonus.

She's almost 5'11 so something a fair size, anyone got anything?
