Hi Peter...what tubing exactly? Seatpost...27.2mm? OLN 126mm or 130mm? any idea as to age? What is the frame's mass?

Ciao Leon, 99% sure it's Columbus SL, as the decal just says 'Columbus'. The seat post size is 27.2mm

no problem, hence winky, just seemed that I didn't answer all of your questions, which I did.
had to run upstairs again to measure, back now with the details:
OLN 127mm
weight as pictured (including BB, seat post binder bolt & cable tie) 3 kgs
Best guess as to age: early 1990scheers

127mm....so should be easy to use 130mm wheels......i need to have a thought on this as i have put a few feelers out on some other frames.....but i like this.....thanks for your indulgence.
I'd say it predates 1992 for a couple of reasons....firstly 8 speed had arrived by 1988...ie 130mm.....and by 1992 Rossin was taken over and the make was soon in decline and this frame i would think comes from a better period in their history. However perhaps no later than 1984 as that is about the time 6 speed [127mm] was introduced.

thanks for educating me, late 1980s sounds more plausible. that blog is brilliant btw, checked almost all pics but the specific type of bb shell is nowhere to be found, however this strada professional looks a bit like it

(edit 2) FOUND IT - but this one is on a Rossin Prestige apparently, which mine is not.

A beautifully made Rossin Columbus steel competition racing frame and fork. Paintjob is damaged in some places, but it's still attractive looking in its yellow black and chrome combo. Special BB shell, looks reinforced. Plenty of panto, certainly not a run of the mill Rossin. Including Campagnolo BB, which is smooth.
Seat tube 55.5cm c-t
Top tube 55.5cm c-c
