  • Passed by here around midday and found one side of the road taped off with obvious signs of an accident / injury. The scene looked to be a few hours old and a search on twitter confirmed the incident. It sounds serious due to the delay in reopening the road. Fingers crossed for good news!

  • I spoke with the police when I went by at 11.30. They think it was a cyclist fall and not a collision, ie. no other vehicle involved. This is hard to understand. The cyclist was turning right out of Horseferry Road westbound into Dean Bradley st towards Smith Square.
The 66 year old cyclist obviously lost some blood and had been taken to hospital for a CT scan. I hope it is better than it sounds.

  • I was there just before the police, but didn't see the accident. He was in a very bad way, his face and head were badly damaged and he was unconscious but he came round later. The paramedic said they would bring in a helicopter.

I left my details with a policeman before going to work but didn't hear anything. Do you know how he got on?

  • A colleague had just spoken with the Police by the scene, just outside our office. Apparently the rider lost his back wheel slipping on a drain cove whilst turning onto Horseferry Road. It didn't look at all good as previous posts mention, although I was assured that they will pull through. Fingers crossed for a full recovery!
