Hello People,
I've been after a frame to start my single sped build for a while. The Brother 531 that a few of you here have caught my eye and I was going to pick one of them up when the right priced one came about...
However, I live in Cambridge, and at the end of my road there's a bike shop. In the corner of the window one evening as I was walking past I saw a frame, a very nice frame. It was priced at £500.
I came home and did some gogglein' and it's this- http://www.bikeradar.com/gear/category/frames/track/product/review-the-light-blue-trinity-531-track-frame-10-39385
The reviews are good and when I went in to the shop today (the first chance I has because I'm at work all week) it's a beauty. Really light and hand painted with a really nice finish.
Before I spend £500 that I really should be spending on something else what do you guys think? Any experience of this frame?
It comes with a Nitto headset and matching forks. I like things to match so I would add a a set of Nitto handle bars. Then a Brooks saddle and bar tape, a Nitto stem (it comes with a different one but I'd ditch it). Just not sure about wheels that'd suit it, a crank and also brakes. If I gave you the frame and you had a reasonable budget how would you finish it?
Thanks for all you help in persuading me waste lots of money, this forum has really helped :-)
Eddie
