Love these bikes, wish I had one instead of my surly cross check, good luck with this build! What bars are those? they look really nice

I love my nature boy. Great bikes

That's cos Triton are crap.
Nice start though I'd love a fixed/ss crosser.

The bars are Easton aero bars.
Would never use Triton again, only bought the frame and fork from them in the end as I couldn't find it anywhere else for the same price.
The woman who answers the phone is terrible -

I bought and paid for a complete bike for my mums birthday last year, about 2 weeks ahead, came to a couple of days before and no sign of it. Contacted them and they said it was out of stock and I should've received an email and a refund instantly. Not really good enough and they seem to have a reputation for it.

Same thing happened to me. Ordered the All-City NB 2 weeks ago, waited a week and heard nothing back. Contacted them only to be told that I was meant to have received an email saying there were none in stock.
Thanks! :| -

I keep hearing horror stories with Triton. Maybe it's a different case for people who actually go into the shop I'm not sure. I'm just glad I bought every other part bar the frame and forks from better online retailers.
Anyway all bits are now purchased so fingers crossed I will be riding this come the weekend -

Just to balance things a little, my experience of them was pretty good. They kept me informed of what was going on while I waited for a frame, which is more than some bike shops have done. They just need to sort out their website, because it appears to show things in stock, even when you know they're not.
I ordered over the phone, so avoided this problem.

That's a cool build. Please put cyclocross tyres and lots on mud on it:)

Cheers, made a slight error on tyre choice but they will get changed in time. Rest assured though, once it's finished it will be getting absolutely filthy

Little bit more progress today
It's getting there, slowly but I'm enjoying the process no end -

Here it stands as of today, I had bought the wrong crank for it so am currently waiting to get a new one. So, today I cut the forks. Wrapped my first set of bars and fitted the front brake. currently looks like this
I can't fit the rear yet as my cable hanger is missing the cable stop. I went to my lbs to get one but the ones they have are to small and drop right through. I have tried to take a photo to show my problem. If anyone reading this has one or knows where I can get one please let me know thanks

The surly one is longer and good because its got a barrel adjuster.
Some have complained that its too long for their frames, but I've got a small frame and its fine.

Cheers I will get one of those.

^^ I'd second that, if only for having the barrel adjuster. It's a right pain without.

Purchased. Cheers

Well it's now finished.. Will get a straight Thomson for it and swap out the tyres soon but for now it's done.
It will get muddy tomorrow but after the first test ride through town I love it

Toe clips and double straps are an interesting choice for off roading....

Nice! Are you racing it tomorrow?
You may find the cantis lack power. Looks like you've got the hanger quite high on both front and rear - lower it to get more bite in the brakes.
Tried to order a complete the other week from Triton only to find they were all sold out. Pretty gutted at the time but decided to go down the build your own route instead.
Started slowly putting together today what bits I had acquired and I'm pretty happy so far with the result.
Still need a few bits like a 42t chain wheel and a h plus son sl42 rim but will get there when funds are healthier
Anyway so far pic
Cheers
Andy
