**** THREAD UPDATE ****

A group order took place with the cost being roughly £120 depending on headset and paint/coating options, and was generally a success, one or two incidents that were address quickly and properly as far as I know.

The prices have been increased this year due to popularity and and upgrade in dropouts the average price now I think its closer to £170, but get in touch with mielec directly for quotes.

Following on from discussion on rat bikes thread

(to sum up this site http://www.bikemielec.com/ selling mash copy frames with the price listed is 120 euro read on the site for more info theres an english translation)

I have been talking to the guy via email and heres the outcome.

Its 120 euro, including a single colour of powder coat, raw is -5 euros

Postage to the UK is 25 euros, 2 would be 30 euros.

If we have a rough estimate of numbers he informed me he could give me his best price including shipping.

He doesn't speak great english but seems to understand whats wanted.

Including paint and delivery the approximate cost is £120 you can also add 'smooth welding' for ~£15

This could come down with more people.

I have a ridiculous build in mind for this, with aero bars and deep Chinese crabon and stuff. Fuck it, why not?

The only thing I'm not so keen on is the chainstay/dropout join. It looks a bit big and clumsy, but hey... ~£120 is cheap!

Rogan, could you check things like headset, seat tube/clamp and BB sizing?

custom sizes? how big can he go? and are they bombproof or made of coke cans?

Looking at the tubing photo (last link) they look pretty sturdy!

I'll definitely end up saying yes after East's tonight so I'll just say yes now, if there's no crazy sizing on the things CasaSteve mentioned.

Jadias, we're not having fucking Dosnoventa copies. Why would you commission a set of custom frames and then ruin the geometry...

LFGSS decals, on the other hand, would be wicked. Lets get designing.

In addition to BB Size, seat post ect ect - what are we thinking about customs on importing these things in bulk? You could make a nice sideline selling them if you had the capital / storage space.

He got any pics of these ones built up? Don't look the same as the Law// in rats or are they the same Geo with just different ST junctions?

Also something i noticed the Triple triangle seems to have a integrated headset were as the other looks like it has pressfit? Is this an option on both or as they come individually?
Also seeing the powdercoating is so cheap i might aswell go for it, as previously mentioned could you ask for a colour chart?

Now to decide if i want wishbone or Triple triangle.
