Ha ha , no worries , seller is a bike shop . I've seen the frame & forks & it is a Gillott 531
Rest of the bike is not up to much tho -

Couldn't view the Gumtree pics properly - assumed it had cheap 30 quid ebay 27" wheels, etc.
£275 puts it in a bit of a void, IMO.
"Gillott. The best a man can get"? -

Yes you got it , built with crap parts , centre pull callipers looked ok , the brooks looked as if it had been in a shed for 10 years , lovely lugs on the frame tho & nice metal head badge

If it's an older (so called) 'original' Gillot then they can command fairly decent prices. I had a smart one a few years back to try the missus out on a road bike which didn't work out.
I listed it on ebay as a full bike then had abuse from a punter because I was sullying the Gillot name because it wasn't 50+ years old, not built by 'Ron' & wasn't a 'proper' one...lolThe one on Gumtree looks well worth a punt at that price..

As the title says. Except the Gillot. I'm looking for a Gillott.
After a 53 or 54 C-to-C (so maybe a 54-55 CTT ?)
Not bothered about paintwork.
Postage to UK
Send me a PM
Thanks a lot.
