if it's only been owned by you and you never crashed it should be fine. if its expensive to replace some people get them x-rayed to 100% sure everything is fine
carbon fibre tech has moved on a lot in the past 8 years, just like Reynolds steel technology improved over time, steel failure is less catastrophic tho

I regualrly use a Vitus GTI with Time carbon composite forks that were constructed in the early 90s. Solid as a rock.
Whats the life time of Carbon forks?
I have an old Giant OCR frame with flat bladed aero carbon forks.
It must be > 8 years old and I've ridden it a lot.
Do they have a shelf life?
I recon that when they go - it'll be sudden....
