Really never would of guessed that.....

I'm sure it's cheap for what it is, but very expensive for a pen.
Good luck with the sale (no sarcasm).

my dads got some old dunhill stuff, never realised it was worth something.

This looks cool, best of luck with the sale.

Expensive pens are worth the money. Some people do large business contracts for a living, it makes a great impression having a nice pen, rather than signing something with a chewed BIC...

It's only about how much your prepared to pay anyway - no doubt somewhere on London Fine Pens and Writing Implements there is a thread where they find it stupid/hilarious that people pay £1000s for a bike wheel.

I know a man who might want this. I'll email him.

Thanks all... Yeah it does look better at meetings than a bic.
Writes so much nicer tho, even better than Mont Blanc whIch are often praIsed for there wrItIng AbIlIty

The refills for this - which surely dictate how it "writes" - cost a fiver.

I've always preferred/used higher end pens and reckon they're worth the cash. It's like a high end bike basically, everything works smoother and feels better. Using a Dunhill Sidecar carbon fountain atm and it's amazing, possibly better than most mont blancs I've used.
Good luck w the sale mate -

My brother bought me a Mont Blanc fountain pen for my 30th, it's a lovely thing and writes superbly.
Due to it's value however it does live in it's box at home, although I do take it with me now and again.

That said the weight has alot to do with the writing also, a pen needs a good balance of both weight and feel when writing... This has a perfect combination, cheap refills can ruin expensive and a cheaper pen.

Use it and enjoy it. I would be surprised if you find many takers here.
BTW - I am fully sold on nice pens and have been for years. I use Parker Duofold and my wife uses Mont Blanc. They are tools of the trade if you write notes and sit in meetings!
Buy cheap,l pay twice. It stands for bike parts and pens too!
