Just been told by my mum that a cyclist was hit on the road outside her flat at the junction with Grand Drive (outside cafe nero).

Apparently the forensic team have had the whole place cordoned off and are being meticulous with how the scene is handled.

So far I can only see this mention of it on-line (http://www.theargus.co.uk/news/9937931.Man_hit_by_lorry_in_Hove_street/) which doesn't mention it was a cyclist but my mum said she saw a bicycle completely smashed to bits.

The lorry in question was a long flat-bedded type builders truck pulling a generator behind.

Hope the injured person pulls through ok.

glad to hear he is stable.

not so glad to see the only thing the argus found newsworthy from 'eyewitnesses/local business owners' was that they see cyclists there running red lights.
