2012-09-18 - Rider Down, New Kent Road/Meadow Row

Firstly Dan (not on here yet), you're one rugged dude, because I would have been in all kinds of tears and hysterics.

Came across accident on New Kent Road around 18:30 this evening. I have taken your bike as I have a friend whose bike was stolen in a similar situation whilst being carted into an ambulance. My contact details are in your rucksack and the police have them too. Your bike is fine except for left pedal and front shifter seems funny.

I hope you heal up soon man and get back on your bike.

First lady in attendance was really helpful, perhaps her soothing comforting stopped him from freaking out. When she went back to her car at the end I noticed she had been travelling in a totally different direction on the other side of the road and still stopped. You could tell she had been in a hurry prior to it. Good to see people still care.

Dan came to collect his bike on Saturday. He's up and walking, in the end it was a deep gash and not a break at least. He'll be back on his bike in a few months thankfully.

Was kind enough to bring me a bottle of wine. Don't know much about wine but if it's got one of those recessed bottoms it's meant to be good shit or something. Will guzzle it with some morley's chicken some time this weekend.
