Indexed or friction shifters? Might get away with running a 9 speed cassette and a 9 speed chain with friction shifters. Not sure if it will engage all the cogs.

What sort of hub is it exactly? You'll need to look at the width of the hub, and the width of your rear stays.

Oh yes, good point.
I've put a ss conversion kit on other campy 9/10 speed hubs which are attached to my other, exactly the same, frame. (2 bikes, same frame - one is the 5 speed, one is the ss).
So should fit on frame! Got me thinking though! :)
Hi just wondering if anyone can offer advice on the following. I don't really know what I'm doing but here we go...
I have a 5 speed bike.
I managed to acquire some nice and cheap wheels with a campy hub.
I want them to work together.
I want to keep having gears (no ss conversion kit)
Can I just put on a 9/10 speed cassette and "loosen" the derailleur to go 9/10 speed?
Or do I need to go 5 speed and space the cassette? Can I even space that much??!
Or.....?
Thanks in advance.
