Recommended workshops in Norwich?

  • Hi fellas,

My road bike is due a bit of an tune up and I have a creaking going on in the bottom bracket area which needs looking at. Due to lack of tools (campagnolo 10sp) and proper knowledge I think its best I book it in somewhere.

Can any of you recommend somewhere local?

Borwells? Specialised? Street Life? Cycles Uk?

I thought of Pedal Revolution yesterday, since I've bought several sundries from there before and would expect they have campag parts at hand if needed (ie ive seen they have veloce cranksets and bb's in stock should mine be actually fucked). Anyway, I emailed their workshop address early morning and as of yet, over 24h later haven't had a reply. Pretty poor IMO so fuck them if they want to lose business.

    Cheers
    Rob

  • Bit of a hike but madgetts in diss will see you right

  • Cheers, always heard good things about madgetts.

Hopefully something closer will turn up though. Ideally I'd like to bike there, drop bike off and walk home :-)

  • Specialised! Always good'

  • I too highly rate Madgetts. The guys in there know their stuff.

If you can't get down to Diss I also highly rate Borwells too, although they may not have as much in stock.

  • Yeah man, Borwells is another "proper" shop. Like in the good old days!

  • Just came on here looking for a working second hand* rear mech *for a bike I am trying to chuck together over the coming months (belated summer project)........

    and

It might not be what you're looking for though I saw you were looking for Norwich (city based) bike repairer and I want to make you aware of these guys as it is a great cause.
