• [strike]Hiya folks,

Found myself sitting on the following for a while, probably about time I pass them on. Cash on collection, pick up from Richmond/Kingston/Teddington any day of the week - would rather not post. Dibs and PMs please.

Close-ups of everything in this flickr set: http://www.flickr.com/photos/86540061@N08/sets/72157631383295926/

    1 - GB Handlebars, gold central sleeve, 26.4mm clamp - £8
They aren't great, pretty scratched up. Ideal for adding some bling to your beater I guess.

2- Sakae SR Road Champion Bars, 26.0mm clamp - £10
All right condition, pretty scratched but with a bit of elbow grease and steel wool should come out nicely. Yummy shape.

    3 - Dura Ace (?) cable tensioners thingies - £10
Now, my bikes only have downtube shifters so I have no idea what these do - they came of a Koga-Miyata frame I bought. Someone told me they tension cables and that they're DA and that they should fetch a tenner. They look complete and are in great condition, I think... So there you go

[strike]4 - Weinmann brake levers with safety levers - £8
Pretty good condition, quite nice levers. Missing the tube thing that goes in the top and tightens the cable (what's it called? I've always wondered).[/strike]

    5 - SR Royale chainset, driveside only, 170mm, 52-42 - £15
Lovely chainset in quite good condition. Inner chainring is pretty worn (not by me!). All threading okay (definitely usable). Treat your beater with a nice bit of kit!

    [strike]**6 - Dia Compe 400 brake callipers, front and back, short-reach - £15 **
Great condition with all the parts and original brake pads. Brake drop of 3-5cm.[/strike]

    **7 - Clamp-on Shimano 600 Arabesque shifters - £8 **
Great condition but not quite complete. in need of one outer plastic nut and one screw (the one with the handle).

    **8 - Iscaselle suede saddle, brown - £3 **
Pretty scuffed up and has a rip on the nose. Quite comfy though and looks good. Yet another treat for the beater.

    9 - Generic Shimano Freewheel, 14-24, brand new - £8

    10 - Shimano 600 Bottom Bracket, 116mm, British threads - £12
Really lovely condition and a great BB. Still nice 'n shiny.

Front Wheel - Normandy hub on Fiame Yellow Label clinchers, 27" - £10
Really nice high flange wheel in terrible condition. Desperate need of a regrease and a polish. Rims are fairly pock-marked. A rebuild and some sand paper should leave you with a really lovely wheel though.

    Exchange
I'm after some nice moustache handlebars with a 25.4clamp, a domed dust cap for an old Lyotard pedal, a decent 1/8 chain, a dynamo bottle charger (preferably Novilux) and a dark brown or black leather saddle so will definitely exchange/part exchange for any of the above.

    Free(ish)cycle

[strike]Broken Brooks B5N - £ale or biscuits provisionally gone to RWGR
Leather is in good condition and it has most of the parts needed to repair it I think. Not really sure if this is of use to anyone but it would be a shame to throw it out - the rails and leather are certainly usable.[/strike]

4 pretty awful brake pads - free as a bird

Maillard 700 hub with nice suntour freewheel - £ale of biscuits
NOT SAFE FOR RIDING, cannot stress this enough. It doesn't show but the flanges are bent. The axle and cups can be reused though and the freewheel is a really lovely one if anyone has a way of getting it off (5 speed Suntour Perfect).

And that's your lot. Donation already made to forum in a premature celebration of this sale and the space it'll save me in my bedroom - hooray. Have a wonderful day. [/strike]

  • heya, id fancy making a project of the old saddle.
trade you for a bottle of ale with a fancy old style worn paper label?

  • Hello mate, could you post a bigger picture of the DA chain tensioners? Dibs if they are like the mks ones. Cheers

  • RWGR can't resist the sound of that label... Throw in a pack of biscuits and you have yourself a deal! PM me to sort out picking up
Here's a picture of the underside so you can see the damage (the original holes for the front rivets are have been ripped to the outside)

And Hovis there's a picture of the cable stops. I should've been more clear, these are for STI shifters not for chain tensioning! Let me know if they're of any use to you though

  • oopsie daisie, i totally got confused and thought they were chain tensioners. nvm, sorry about that!

  • No worries - I should've been clearer!

    Photo set now added: http://www.flickr.com/photos/86540061@N08/sets/72157631383295926/

  • Will take reasonable offers on most of the stuff (think £2-3 discounts). Really want to get rid of this stuff to fund a commuter project!

  • Can you show the iscaselle in more detail. A mate is after one...

  • Here are some more pictures of the saddle. Front (with rip) bottom and rear. As you can see it's in great condition except for the rip at the nose which is, admittedly, rather big... To be fair though, it's only £3!

  • Brake callipers now sold - thanks jetame.

Everything else still available and I'm willing to post - come on people!

  • Same as the red one I have. lovely things... I'll mention it to my mate

  • Mhm agreed. It is a shame about the rip though... Thanks man, let me know if he's interested!

  • whats the cheapest you can do the bars for including postage?

  • Which bars are you after? Call it an extra £1 and I'll cover the rest (postage will probably be £3). PM me to sort it out if you're happy with that

  • Weinmann levers now sold - ta garethhon

Gonna start moving stuff to ebay sometime next week but would rather sell on here...

  • Price drops on a few of the bigger things. Also need to add a wheelset:
Miche Competition hubs on Mavic Module E rims complete with a Suntour freewheel (which needs replacing). After a few winters they're in pretty beat up condition and, to be honest, I'm not sure how safe the rear is... £15 for the front wheel and £10-20 on the rear (need to check condition). Will post pictures soon.

Postage is also an option for pretty much everything now - even the wheels. I'm a student who'll do (almost) anything for money

  • Everything will go on ebay by the end of the week - just gotta get rid of it all now.

PM me last offers on anything you're after
