I'll be somewhere along the route. Haven't decided where yet. Probably far away from a town.

Yeah, given the rise in cycling interest recently, the crowds should be a bit bigger. I watched the 2010 stage at Mousehold Heath. Might go for something quieter this time. Probably do a recce of the surrounding area & look for a good spot for some photos.

I'll be watching. Went to Reepham last year so may do the same and then try to get to the Showground for the finish.

I wasn't around to see last years race. The riders may be gone in a flash ( even uphill! ) but having the opportunity to watch some of the worlds top athletes for free, so close to home, just kicks the arse of some other "popular sports".

I'm coming down to Norwich to ride the stage the day before: http://www.lfgss.com/thread89634.html
I want to watch it on the Sunday as well, would be up for getting some beers and wandering over if anyone fancies it? Do they go through Mousehold this year? That was a good spot last time I went.
Skip forward a few minutes...

Haven't found a detailed map yet. This is pretty comprehensive though.
They're not going through the City this time.

Mad that the route they're taking from Dereham to Easton is the same route I ride to work.

Ah, cheers. That one didn't come up for me when I looked before. I clicked on the download pdf below that link, which gave a basic outline of the route.
Thanks anyway.

the same route I ride to work.
No doubt you'll be timing that part of the stage ;-)

The riders may be gone in a flash ( even uphill! ) ".
Lat year it was 10 mins of police, outriders and support cars and about 30 seconds of cyclists, which is why I fancy going to the end this year to see a bit more.
I want to watch it on the Sunday as well, would be up for getting some beers and wandering over if anyone fancies it?
Mmmm, cycling and beer, two of my favorite things.....

Get involved then! The coffee seedling you gave me got a nice big terracota pot a few weeks back, and today it sprung a new set of leaves. They're really odd - they grow in pairs, stuck together, straight up. Then, when they're about 6-7mm tall they separate and there's a tiny little bit of stalk in the middle. Nice to see it's settled in, hopefully it can grow a bit more before hibernating for the winter. Sparky's own-brand coffee in 5 year's time...

I'm marshalling at the start so I'll have possibly the most crap view, but I do get a "goody bag" and will do my best to rob a TOB hi-viz...

Cool.
We'll have to see about meeting for a drink on the day.
I see that Cav is now confirmed as joining Wiggo for the tour of Britain. I'll be watching stage 1 locally, probably somewhere around Coltishall ( meant to be around 1.26pm ). Anybody off here going to be watching the stage in that area? I'd ask on the Norwich Forum, but it seems to lay dormant a lot of the time.
