Why change the seatpost? Although I would check the minimum insertion for the frames sake...
I would say silver bars, black tape, a Rolls, Turbo or Concor saddle and maybe desticker the rims?

New seatpost because I'm tall and the frame is a touch too small for me, and those campy posts have a pretty short maximum length. It's at max as it is.
Desticker the rims absolutely. Those Mavic decals are fugly.
Was thinking of replacing the Flite with another Flite actually. I like the slim look of them. But a Concor is in the running too -- good call!

sick frame that. wheels bring it down a bit but damn that is going to look so sweet. Seatpost looks like its way above min insertion :D

The minimum insertion line is about 6mm above the lug. I think I can get away with that. I'll be diligent about checking for wear.
I kind of like those wheels actually! They need a good cleaning, but I think they will suit the chrome.
Thanks for the input!

Been I while since I've posted but I figured I'd show you guys where I'm at with the bike. Piss poor build thread I know, haha!
These tires will be swapped for something without the beige sidewalls - Rubinos probably. Few nicks here and there as it is ridden daily, but whatever. A bit of character they say. Excuse the terrible camera skills.
Campagnolo Record cranks/chainring/hubs/headset/brake - although the headset is questionable. Campy headset lockring for sure though!
Miche rear cog
Mavic CXP33 wheels
Cinelli Giro d'Italia bars with a 3T Synthetic stem
Selle Italia Flite 1990 on a Gran Compe seatpostThanks for having a look!

Looks really good - though I wouldn't choose that foot retention for this build, and the saddle looks too far forward on it's rails, but apart from that, really good job.

Thanks for the thoughts. I agree on both counts. I find the straps quite comfy, so I'm hesitant to switch them out, but I do agree, they don't really suit the overall aesthetic.
Cheers!
Check it out. Scored this one locally. Had some fugly risers and tacky grips on it. Waiting on a stem for Cinelli 66 drops, and some straps for the track pedals off my old SS ride. Going to put a 16t on the rear as well. Eventually a new seatpost and saddle will come its way once I save up enough pennies. Oh, and new tires too. I really don't think the (really dirty at the moment) gumwalls suit the bike at all.
Shitty picture, but you get the idea. Handmade here in Quebec (hence the French) with 80s-looking Campagnolo Record cranks, chainring, hubs, headset and brake, and Campy aero seatpost (hence the Italian). Everything needs a good cleaning which I plan to do once I get a few more tools.
I can't decide what color tape I want on the bars. My feeling is to go black to match the logos, tires, and saddle... but I also feel grey or silver would look sharp against the green, and perhaps match the chrome. What do you guys think?
