Freecycle: 80's Large cargo trailer

  • This is a fibergass trailer, with a hinged lid, it has mag wheels, the only metalwork on it is the hitch and where the wheels attach one side so it is not as heavy as it looks.

I was given it by my uncle who used it frequently camping for years.
Unfortunately it does not have the bit that fits on the bike, but it would not take much to make one.

I will get the dimentions and put them up in the morning, but if its something you could use and you can collect from Crawley, please PM me.

I just need the space for a bigger trampoline and i'm never going to use it.

The frame across the front (pic above) is 650mm, the hitch (the pin centre) is aprox 255mm in from the side, hope this makes sence.

    Hope this helps?

  • What are the dimensions? Could I fit it onto a train? If so, dibs. This would change Wake Up To Muff!

  • just had a look as it WUTM related, that is mad, but good on ya.

    33"long x 22"wide and 24" high, where are you?

  • I'm in Camberwell. If I could fabricate the bicycle attachment before I pick it up then I suppose I could ride back with it.

  • i'll get some more pics and dimentions of the hitch end and post them in the morning.

  • Awesome man! I'm not great at fabricating things (more baking than welding) but hopefully I can work something out.

  • Thats alot of muffins you could carry, its pretty big.

  • Fabulous, hope it goes for muff but if not 2nd dibs..

    Dafuq am I seeing?

  • yeah i liked it. :)

  • Pleased you liked..

  • Bump new pics

  • Still interested.

  • I think I'm being terribly obtuse but does this attach to a pivoted rod that's attached to the rear wheel axle or does it attach to the seatpost.

Garethhon if you can get to it then go ahead. It might take me a while to figure it out.

  • "The frame across the front (pic above) is 650mm, the hitch (the pin centre) is aprox 255mm in from the side"

so im guessing it would have been next to the rear axel.`

    Garethhon, your call?

  • Pm sent ....

  • Could I get my double bass in it? I HAVE to find a way to cycle my bass to gigs.

  • sorry should have said, no longer available pending collection.

I dont think you would get your double bass in it without alot of padding involved?

  • This has now gone to Garathhon. i hope he gets some use out of it.

    Good to meet you too.

  • Great to meet you too- looking forward to getting the hitch sorted when I can get my shed cleared!
