Dawes Kingpin Seatpost Size

Does anyone know the seatpost size for a Dawes Kingpin. I've no calipers and I've UTFS here and on the world wide google and turned up nothing.

I've got a old ratty Brooks to put on it and the current steel seatpost doesn't have a compatible clamp so needs replaced.

28.6 according to some knowledgeable people on here. Can't comment on the accuracy of that, though. I googled and also found nothing.

The batteries in my vernier have run out, but I could eyeball it on my kingpin.
