It may help if you say how tall you are as bikes come in many sizes.

Sorry to jump on the thread but I am a new member and in order for me to create a new thread I have to wait 24 hours and post at least three times so hopefully I will be able to do this soon.
In the meantime I have a similar question as the OP but my budget is £100-£250. I live in hackney so have seen a lot of the No Logo bikes and similar cheap makes and from reading the forums I see that those bikes will end up costing me more in the long run.
I would love to build my own bike but at the moment I am a definite newbie so I will not attempt that just yet.
I am 5ft 9"/10"
I dont mind second hand bikes at all as long as they are in decent nick.
I would preferably want a flip flop hub so I can try out the fixie option when I am ready, but this is not a deal breaker.
Other than that I am up for any suggestions.
Cheers in advance

I've got an 2010 SE Lager in good nick that I've been thinking of selling for a while and would do so for the right money.. It's a 61cm frame, so only really suitable for the top end of 5ft scale or into the 6ft+ bracket (I'm 6'4" and it's a good fit for me).
It's the black version of this: http://www.evanscycles.com/products/se/lager-2010-single-speed-road-bike-ec020552
And is mostly stock. Different bar tape and the tyres are brand new Specialized All Condition 700x23 jobbies.
Few scratches on the frame but nothing major.
If you're interested, let me know. Or maybe I'll get around to putting it in the FS thread soon.

Thanks for the fast responses guys.
I appreciate you all getting back to me.
photopositive and Gouldy I think the bikes may be too big for me but I definitely like the look of your bike Gouldy.
Indra Ripper I think your bike will be too small for me.
Louis94 your bike looks great and is a good price as well but I am a little hesitant about the buckled wheel. How much would that be to fix?
(On a side note does anyone know why am I not sent email notifications about replies to my posts as well as private messages sent to me.
Cheers
