Finally selling my much loved 60s RIH as I have come to terms with it being too small for me.
The above pic is the closest I have of how it will look built up with the components it's being sold with, but was taken March this year. The link below is to the CP thread, with pics of how it looked when I first got it, and the different guises it has been through, including the latest as a fixed gear with town bars. http://www.lfgss.com/post2920031-62006.html

Bought off rih on here last August and gradually upgraded ever since, it will now be delivered with the following parts:
58x58 (c-c) frame and forks all 531 steel with Campag dropouts, beautiful old enamel paint with white painted decals and shorelines. The paint has many a chip and scratch, some of which I have added through my everyday use of the bike, but the paint still manages a wonderfully luminous sheen when polished. The white decal-paint has also acquired a very attractive cracking, but remains solid. The chips mainly reveal the slightly red-brown primer underneath, so rust is no real concern. There are two micro-dings (I hesitate to call them dings, but in interest of full disclosure, etc.) on the top-tube which were there when I bought the bike. What can I say: it has been in active use for 50-odd years, and really carries it's age with grace.
According to the information I got from rih the frame was built in the Bustraan-brothers workshop in Amsterdam in the 60s (its frame number is on the bottom head tube lug, and the head tube badge reads "Amsterdam" -- RIH had bikes factory-built as well, but then with a serial number on the BB and "Holland" on the head tube badge). It then underwent a repair of the BB/chainstays sometime in the middle 70s, together with an upgrade of the parts. The components that came with the bike when I bought it are all dated around 1975, including first-gen Shimano 600 hubs, rear der (gone) and SunTour cyclone front der (included if the buyer wants it). It has relaxed geo and space for 32+ mm tires with full muduards, featuring mudguard eyelets on forks and stays. Other than that it has very few braze-ons, and can look very clean if wanted. Mitigating the lack of bottle cage braze ons, I will include a set of used band-on bottle cage mounts, as well as a handlebar bottle cage clamp and a very nice classic-looking VO stainless steel hand-bent bottle cage.
The bike as it is today comes with original front wheel (600 hub laced to 36h Rigida 13-19 rim with nickel DB-spokes), while the rear wheel is the original hub laced to Velo Orange PBP (36h, 19 mm, DT competition spokes), chosen for its classic box-rim shape to match the front. The only issue at the moment is that the rear axle is broken. I can switch it to a solid nutted one, or leave it up to the buyer to decide what to do with it. Both wheels could also do with a slight true. Comes with a pair of wonderfully comfortable Grand Bois Cerf 30mm skinwall tires, the front has a lot of life left in it, but the rear is worn -- still good for riding on country roads, plenty of rubber left, but they don't cut it (or rather, are cut too often) on glass-strewn city streets. To compensate, the rear wheel also comes with a very little used 32 mm Panaracer Pasela TG tire (black skinwall).
The rear cluster is a 6-speed shimano HG job that might need replacement (a brand new chain skips on the next-to-smallest cog, can deliver the used chain if wanted as well), and will be delivered with a Dicta 3/32 19t screw-on freewheel for those looking to set it up as single speed.
The currently fitted cranks are polished and modified rx100 triples (inner ring fittings filed down to allow reduced Q-factor) on TA Axis 110 mm BB (very stiff); it will be delivered with very little used TA Alize 46t 3/32 ring and a set of biopace 52-42 rings (to allow 1x6 or 2x6 setup as wanted), as well as a practically new 9-speed SRAM chain (maybe run 100 km).
Pedals are super-smooth Gipemme Dual Sprints (original).
The cockpit is upgraded from the original SR stuff to Nitto, with 100 mm Technomic Deluxe matched to 42 cm noodles, currently fitted with Campag Aventi brake levers (they had their shifting innards removed) and black gel cork tape (almost new). I stuck some DIY cork plugs in the bar ends, but the bike will be delivered with 8 speed Ultegra-level bar end shifters (of the relatively rare "compatible with dura ace derailleur" kind); they work beautifully in friction, and even in indexed mode if you double shift in the middle of the cluster. All cables etc. included (if I can dig them all out), I can also install everything if the buyer would like. The only problem on this end is the Hattaswan headset: it has become quite indexed with incorrect adjustment, and would probably have to be replaced. I can include the town-bars seen in the CP thread picture for free if the buyer wants them.
Derailleurs are a pair of white/gray painted rx100 that look pretty good together with the white decals and provide trouble-free shifting.
Brakes are original Mafac "Racer"s with the added touch of Velo Orange cable hangers and salmon Cool Stop pads (lots of life left).
The bike will also come with full dynamo lighting based on quality kit from Bausch + Müller: Dymotec 6 bottle dynamo (lighter than hub dynamo and no resistance when not in use), Lumotec classic chromed halogen headlight (less bright than LED, but much more comfortable and natural colour when riding on completely dark roads) with bracket to mount on forks (low placement brings out bumps in the road for safe, fast night riding), and Seculite 6 fender-mounted taillight. All brackets and cables included.
The fenders (VO hammered 45 mm fenders) are unfortunately only half-complete: the rear fender gradually disintegrated in spite of efforts to keep it together. The front fender (with all fittings) is delivered alongside the bike: it might be possible to get replacements for the rear.
The bike is currently fitted with a very nice Tune Starkes Stück seatpost (27.2x300 mm, about 196 g I think, titanium screws), and I might be convinced to let it go along with the bike (the fact that it is inline compensates for the relaxed geo if the rider has long legs). Otherwise it will be delivered with a more appropriate Selcof aero seatpost (this one) or a basic (looong) Kalloy. I am also considering selling the honey Brooks B17 special together with the bike, otherwise it will be delivered with a black Flite.
I am currently in Berlin, but will post at cost (which should be about €40) to anywhere in Europe.
Bought the bike a year ago for €315 including postage, and considering all the upgrades and the faults, I would want €350 ONO for it now with Selcof seatpost and Flite, adding €40 for the Tune seatpost and €30 for the Brooks. In the wonderfully Euro-skirting Pound Sterling this amounts to about 276£ (pluss 32£ for the Tune and 24£ for the Brooks) plus postage (about 32£).
