Thank you gentlemen. Will probably be having a quiet isotonic EPO Guinness at the Tree on Box Hill, when released into the community at the end of the ride.

A man after my own heart.
Denbies does sound interesting, subject to being able to get there, and then on to the main event.

The relevant section from the blurb, for anyone thinking of cycling...
Free, secure cycle parking will be provided for ticket holders near the Old London Road and Donkey Green entrances. Plan your journey by bike using the spectator journey planner
To keep you pedalling, there is a free ‘keep you going’ cycle maintenance service available at this venue, located near the cycle parking area. Experienced bike mechanics will carry out minor repairs to help get you back on the road. You’ll need to pay for any parts needed but labour is free. Please note that bike locks will not be provided at the venue so remember to bring one with you.
Because cycle parking is limited, you may also want to check www.gosurrey.info or www.molevalley.gov.uk for additional facilities in the area. -

"Cycle journeys to Box Hill can only be planned where the distance is 20km or less; the journey you requested was longer than this. " - great site........

According to http://www.london2012.com/venue/cycling-road-race/visitor-information no, you can't
Want to ride the route?
If you’re a cycling enthusiast, you may want to cycle along the official Olympic Road Race route. Preparations will start along the route the day before, and once the roads are closed, the route will be inaccessible to all traffic. Pedestrians will be able to walk alongside the route during closures. The route will be fully accessible when the roads open again after the weekend of the Olympic Road Race.
Which is shite.

Anyone, advice for marking the roads to support the GB team, will it be allowed & number 2 if so, should i use chalk or spray paint. Any ideas thanks!
-
• #19
Use chalk, it washes off and won't cause problems for your fellow cyclists when it rains next.

Are there any forumengers without tickets going this weekend? If so, can I tag along please?
-
• #22
Marc and I are going. I think the plan is either Denbies or to go to the pub on the A24 (the running horses). Don't expect it will be anything less than rammed though...
-
• #23
The Denbies thing is tempting. But yes, I reckon it'll be rammo.

Having been given a ticket for the Box Hill summit area, Ladies Road Race, trying to work out if you can ride to the spectator area and what time the roads are closed in advance of the riders arriving.
Also, any ideas when the spectators are releasd from their pens, and allowed back down the hill?
