• I got this at the end of Feb and have used it literally a handful of times. It seems tablets and iPads are wasted on me and they generally don't fit into my life so this is being offered up for sale.

It was bought from Dubai where the charger adapter was also left behind along with the earphones. The tab charges when powered off via the USB (which is present). I'd recommend buying a genuine adapter as I've heard the ebay specials don't work although I never felt the need as I drip charged via USB.

Dual core, Android Honeycomb, Full HD, Quad band, front and rear facing cameras, 'Soft Black' finish and totally immaculate condition and I'll include a case for it too. I'm pretty sure I picked up a USB flash/hdd connector dongle for it too, I shall include that when I find it...

    SOLD

    Collection from Stoke Newington N16

  • And a pic to show it switched on and in a state of factory default

  • Price drop: £190

  • To be fair, they are quite different tablets.

The Nexus doesn't have expandable storage or a 10.1" screen for a start.

I received a pre-release Nexus 7 to play with yesterday and its awesome but that doesn't make the Galaxy Tab a less good device. Its horses for courses really.

  • I am very very tempted by this. Good price.

  • can you put 4.1 on this?

  • If this can video skype I will buy it. Just doing some research.

  • Doesn't video skype but PMd anyway.

  • ^ There is some evidence to the contrary... http://betanews.com/2011/09/29/finally-you-can-skype-video-on-galaxy-tab-10-1-and-xoom/

Think you just have to enable it in the settings.

  • Oh cool, thanks for that. Android versions and app support is so hit and miss on different devices. Drives me mad.

Now...what are the odds of Sky getting their act together and releasing Sky Go on the Tab?

Luckily my HTC One X video Skypes so it really isn't a big deal for me either way now I've thought about it.

  • I'll be honest I never even thought to install Skype on it but it does seem strange as to why the video calling wouldn't work, Android quirk I guess.

    Stonehedge has dibs!

  • I haz iPad... no issues :-p

  • It is simply a reflection of the wide range of hardware that skype has to cater for.

Apple products seem to get preferential treatment probably because they're just about more common that Android devices. Sky had an exclusive deal with Apple until recently.

I could come up with loads of flakey excuses why I don't buy an iPad (cost etc etc etc) but the crucial one for me is that I much prefer Android.

  • Each to their own, innit.

I use Facetime instead of Skype anyway.

  • 2nd dibs

  • Sold to the gentleman, Dan. Pleasure to meet you sir.
