The Roundabout; the best meeting place will be where the Lea Bridge Rd meets the Roundabout. If you did the DD you will know where that is.

This sounds like a lovely idea. Might be a bit of a nightmare getting across london from the SE but should be worth it definitely!
Also (if anyone else is interested) theres the Lo-Pro clown ride on the 4th which I'll be doing too. A good couple of rides, perfect Olympics antidote!1) Peter Carter

^^^^^ Haha! Who knows whats going on there Alex! Maybe dj was thinking exactly the same thoughts as me. Strange whatever though.
Sorry didn't get back to you too, it was a hectic week.....The clown ride should be a bunch of folks on our lo-pro "funny bikes" riding in clown costumes to ever enhance the bizarre bikes. (Its not just for lo-pro riders though so if anyone else wants to join and wear a red nose it should be a good fun time ride!)

Sunday the 5th of August is the busiest day on the Olympic Park. Or so i ve been told in my Olympic Briefings @ work.
If you want to get away from the Olympics for a day then please join me on the "Avoid the Olympics" ride
It will be the same route as the Joy of Essex ride. That's Whipps X - High Beach- Epping - N Weald - Matching Green- Moreton and then Home.
Lunch will be at a pub in either Matching Green or Moreton. We will finish @ the Nags Head in Walthamstow Village-
The route works out at about 40 flat miles on a SS/Fixed friendly route.
We will leave Whipps X( Walthamstow ) at 10 ish and back by 3 or 4 depending on lunch and tea shops.
More details to come .
