12 HPW shamals for track

  • Anyone got experience with the 12hpws for track use? Do they hold up all right? I'm running a pair on the road and they certainly work allright but its not really the same thing is it.

  • Why?

  • I dont get nearly as much force down on the road as I do on track where there are sprints and intervals etc. I do none of that on the road really so most wheels work for me there. I've heard people in the past saying that the 12 spoke wheels flex a fair bit and pop spokes every now and then

  • 12 spoke wheels on the track - no thanks

  • Should be fine for an IP but nothing else

  • no.

  • I wonder if less spokes = more spake tween them and more of a risk to fingers etc in a crash and whether a commisair might pick up on that.

They have no problems with mavic iO's or corimas or HED3s

Haha, how did I figure they might have a problem with 12 spokes when they don't with 3?

    DOH!

  • I'd rather take a chance with carbon than those steel blade spokes on my fingers...
