Replied - @ 6ft 5" it might be a bit on the small side though. Willing for you to try it for size though.

Yep. Your probably right I suppose. Will withdraw the dibs and if it is still around next week when you arenack then maybe I could come give it a try.

Btw is that saddle height how you ride it? If so definitely too small for me....

Yep, that's the saddle height for me - at a smidgen over 6ft. It's a pretty compact/playful frame TBH. Sorry!

Saw this in the flesh yesterday. An aboslute bargain for the spec.
In a bid to make some room I’m parting ways with my beloved Commencal Absolut VIP 2006 custom build. Pretty rare in that they were never officially imported into the UK (I got mine via the French Dist.) the Absolut VIP is modeled on the early ‘hardcore hartails’ with a (what was) long travel fork upfront and pretty playful geometry (think Cove Stiffee, Orange Crush, etc) – short TT, slack HT, stiff back end, etc.
More photos here: http://s739.photobucket.com/albums/xx39/Alb4416/Commencal/
Frame: Commencal Absolut Alu VIP 2006 (Large)
Fork: Fox Vanilla R 125mm QR (Firm spring fitted)
Wheels: Hope XC 6-bolt (gold) on Mavic XM321 Disc / XT M755 6-bolt on Mavic XM321 Disc
Brakes: Saint M800 hydraulic brakes w/ 180/160mm Shimano 6-bolt SM-RT75 rotors (F/R)
Headset: Cane Creek S3 Headset (brand new)
Seatpost: Thomson layback seatpost
Saddle: Velo Cr-Mo railed saddle (brand new)
Rubber: Onza Canis AM 2.25” 120TPI folding tyres (brand new)
Chainset: Shimano Hone chainset & HTII BB 175mm
Front Mech: XT Front Mech
Rear Mech: XTR M970 Rear Mech
Cassette: XT Cassette (11-32T I think – might be 34T)
Shifters: LX Shifters
Handlebars: Titec Hellbent carbon bars 31.8 x 660mm
Stem: Titec RIP 3D Stem (90 or 100mm)
Grips: Titec Grips
Pedals: Will throw in Shimano PD-M520 pedals and new cleats too
Condition is overall very good with a few scratches and scuff to the frame as you’d expect. Wheels spin freely and true, blah, blah ,blah. Good to hit the trails basically. I’m 6ft and it should be good to fit anyone a few inches either side.
The bad bit – there’s a small dint on the DT (pic 154/156 via the photobucket link). No idea how it got there but I’ve been riding it fine like that for the last 2yrs (I’m not small) so I’m guessing it’s not affected the structural integrity of the frame. Best be honest, right?
With this in mind I’m looking for £450 (which is hopefully still a bit of a bargain)
Drink for the forum as per usual upon sale and normal forum rules apply (dibs, etc). As it’s a bike happy to let people to try it for size, etc. I’m away in Berlin this weekend but will be about from Tues next week (based in Finsbury Pk).
Cheers my dears
